The home of “A Touch of Klaus” by “Roman the Showman” out of “Rivaz Nougat”.
Nancarrow Appaloosas is situated on a working dairy farm, in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. A Touch of Klaus or Stanley as he is more fondly known is owned and managed by Jan Weeks.
Jan has many years of experience working with horses in all disciplines.
Nancarrow Appaloosas has been set up with the aim of breeding horses suitable for any purpose including competition at any level with striking, unusual colours and an amazing temperament and ability.
We have now started a new venture, by putting our Appaloosa stallion with Thoroughbred mares with the aim to produce different coloured horses suitable for polo, polocrosse and endurance. We believe the combination of the sturdy appaloosa with the grace and speed of the thoroughbred will produce horses suitable for these disciplines.
We welcome you to our website and encourage you to look round and explore the many “colourful” opportunities available here at Nancarrow Appaloosas.
Where did the name Nancarrow come from?
The name Nancarrow comes from old Cornish and means “Valley of the Stags”. With Jan’s Cornish roots and as there have been deer spotted here on the farm the name seemed very appropriate.
Our Appaloosa Stallion is able to live with his mares in a herd, in the fields all year round.
“A Touch of Klaus” joined us in March 2007, bred in Wales by Sue Colman.
